First gen Tundras are great rigs, and good looking, too. I’d love to have my ‘02 back.

Too bad all the landscapers buy them up and beat them to death. You can’t blame them, trucks are expensive now and it’s a Toyota.

We started looking at a new one - 2020 TRD Sport in Magnetic Gray Metallic. They are awesome, but I won’t be getting rid of the old lady.

They run forever if the frame doesn’t rust. Can’t blame anyone for buying them.
I seem to li ve in Tundra-ville. Haven’t seen this many Tundras of any generation while I lived in Denver. Northern Colorado - especially the few streets around my house - are loaded with them.

Interiors are important to me, I spend time there, I just do not like the dash in those or I might have had one. I had a 2000 four door SEV6 Frontier in Hawaii. I actually loved that truck.

They are good looking trucks. Especially in green with the fender flares that came on early TRDs and post facelift models. They’re just so well proportioned with nicely understated detailing. And they’ll run forever.

What city are
you in
? I’m in Loveland. K
inda redneck
and it seems like it’s mostly
Ford and then
Chevy. Toyotas are not common. Although two neighbors have 1980s Toyota trucks - both an identical faded red.

Those fender flares are worth their weight in gold... I looked into used ones from cars in salvage lots, and it’s insane.

Timnath! Every other truck is a Tundra. But, we do get plenty of lifted RAMs from credit challenged Weld county rednecks.

I’m not sur prised because they really transform the the truck’s appearance. And so few Tundras have ended up in junkyards that demand outweighs supply.

There are aftermarket ones for $400-ish. I’ll have to do it eventually because I had to put spacers on the front axle to clear the big tires.
My next step should really be por30 on the frame.
